What Are Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers can help replace lost facial volume. The skin can start to lose volume for a variety of reasons, including significant weight loss or age. To improve the contour of your cheeks, reduce the signs of aging, or increase lip volume, we can inject dermal fillers underneath the skin. They can reduce the appearance of fine lines, sagging skin, and wrinkles. We can also combine fillers with other cosmetic treatments, such as a facelift, to enhance your results. Additionally, if you prefer a nonsurgical option, dermal fillers can help you achieve positive results without the recovery or expense of a facelift. At Rejuve Aesthetic Surgery, we offer a variety of dermal filler products that match your needs. To learn more, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with Dr. Brandon-Dzung Mang.

Are Dermal Fillers For You?
The best candidates for dermal fillers are patients who want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines without the recovery and expense of a facelift. If you have parts of the face that appear sunken and hollow, this could make you a good candidate for injectable dermal fillers. It can also help patients who have thin lips because of genetics or aging. During your consultation, Dr. Mang will design a personalized treatment plan and discuss the benefits of each dermal filler. Some dermal fillers contain lidocaine so please let us know if you have any allergies. Additionally, Dr. Mang will determine how often you need to schedule follow-up appointments so you can maintain your results.
Our Injection Technique
Before your treatment, Dr. Mang will listen to your cosmetic goals or concerns and select the best product for your needs. At the time of your treatment, Dr. Mang will start by applying a numbing cream to the treatment area. Some dermal filler products contain lidocaine to reduce discomfort. Dr. Mang will use his experience to select the best amount of filler. Next, he uses a small needle to inject the product into the treatment area. Depending on your cosmetic goals, we may use half of a syringe or the entire amount.
What to Expect
In one of our private treatment rooms, we can quickly complete your treatment. Because we use anesthetic, the process causes minimal discomfort and does not require any downtime. You should have few side effects with the dermal fillers. However, you will experience some swelling or bruising, but these symptoms will fade within a few days. Typically, your results last from a few months to a year, but it depends on the type of product and the injection placement. To maintain your results, you will need to schedule follow-up appointments with Dr. Mang.
Dermal Fillers FAQ
How much do injectable dermal fillers cost?
The cost of an injectable filler treatment will vary based on the type of filler and the amount used to match your goals. During your initial consult, your injector will create a personalized treatment plan that matches your concerns and goals. After this, your injector will be able to provide you with a cost estimate for your treatment and discuss any current specials we are offering.
How do I know which injectable dermal filler is right for me?
The type of filler chosen on you will depend on which area(s) is being treated, as well as your wanted result. Depending on whether you want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles or you want to create fuller lips, your injector will listen to your needs before recommending the filler or fillers that will deliver better results. Since there are so many different brands of fillers, it may be overwhelming to select which is ideal for your needs, so our team works to ensure you experience your best results.
What is the difference between wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers?
A wrinkle relaxer, like BOTOX®, treats lines and wrinkles (particularly in the forehead and near the eyes) by reducing the movement of facial muscles. Dermal fillers restore volume to fill in lines, wrinkles, and certain types of scars. Injectable fillers may also be used to add more volume to your lips and cheeks as well as to rejuvenate the hands.
How long will the results last?
How long your results last will be dependent on the type of filler used and the area(s) treated. In some patients, improvements may last for a year, while others might want another treatment after a few months. Follow-up injections are available at our practice in order to sustain your improvements.
What areas of my face can be treated with dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers can improve signs of aging by smoothing static lines or adding volume. Fillers can be used on marionette, parentheses, and fine lines near your nose and mouth. Also, they can add volume to your cheeks and lips.
