What is PRP Therapy?

At Rejuve Aesthetic Surgery in Tampa, FL, Dr. Brandon-Dzung Mang is proud to offer platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, which helps refresh and brighten the complexion. PRP therapy is a popular and innovative cosmetic treatment because it offers a natural solution to reduce wrinkles, soften the skin, and decrease the appearance of scars. To help improve the health of your skin, PRP therapy encourages the production of collagen. If you want to learn more about PRP therapy, please call Rejuve Aesthetic Surgery in Tampa, FL to schedule a consultation. Dr. Mang is always excited to discuss the benefits of PRP therapy.

Am I A Good Candidate For PRP Therapy?

If you want to improve the texture and tone of your complexion with a natural treatment option, you could be a good candidate for PRP therapy. Because this treatment stimulates the production of collagen, PRP can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation. To ensure this procedure is safe for you, please let Dr. Mang know about any skin conditions, blood disorders, or anemia. After assessing your skin, discussing your medical history, and listening to your goals, Dr. Mang will create a detailed treatment plan that outlines the number of sessions, when to schedule follow-up appointments, the costs, or any specials.

Our Platelet-Rich Plasma Technique

After you're comfortably seated in one of our private procedure chairs, we will draw about four tablespoons of blood from your arm. Next, the blood is placed in a centrifuge machine. After approximately 15 minutes on the centrifuge machine, the components of your blood separate, and we place your platelet-rich plasma into a sterile syringe. The plasma is then injected into the designated areas of the face. Typically, PRP injections take about five minutes to complete, but it can vary for each patient.

What to Expect

PRP therapy promotes the production of elastin and collagen to help your skin look tauter and more youthful. Because PRP therapy utilizes your blood, there is no risk of allergic or adverse reactions. However, your face may look a little red after the treatment because some red blood cells may be included within the plasma injection. To minimize discomfort or minor swelling near the injection sites, patients can apply a cold compress. Dr. Mang recommends receiving treatments every 4 – 6 weeks to maintain your results.

Glowing Skin

With PRP therapy, your skin will look healthier and more luminous. This treatment works well for patients who enjoy a natural skin rejuvenation treatment that produces gorgeous results. During your consultation, we will create a detailed treatment plan, provide an estimated cost, and discuss any specials. To learn more about this innovative procedure, please call Rejuve Aesthetic Surgery in Tampa, FL to schedule a consultation with Dr. Mang.
